 From the home’s deck, you’ll see the open Atlantic Ocean and watch waves rolling towards the beach, part of the renowned Cape Hatteras National Seashore.  In the evening, the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse light blinks gently, a reminder of the island’s seafaring heritage, in a night sky brimming with shooting stars.

The Back Landing is the perfect location for outdoor activities.  Two kayaks sit at the harbor’s edge, ready for you to explore miles of the shoreline.  A small private dock is perfect for setting a crab pot or throwing out a fishing line.  Or you might want to watch ospreys, herons, otters, and schools of fish from the comfort of one of the many decks.

The four-bedroom house was built as a private residence by a family with strong island roots, and it retains the feel of a home, not a rental cottage. The home offers a well-equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, cable television, many books and games, internet service, and an outdoor shower. 

Every room has a view of the water.  The top floor is a large open expanse containing the living room, dining area, and kitchen, with unobstructed views of the water and breathtaking sunsets.  Two screened porches – one with a 6-person hot tub – anchor over 2400 square feet of decking.  The covered outdoor eating area provides shade for afternoon lunches and evening cocktail hours.
